  • I've been directed to here and your great use of the portable infoboxes. What exactly do you guys do to get these new infoboxes looking nice? I assume it has something to do with the theme-source="tooltip" maybe?

  • I can easily make you a template for the class icons if you'd like. That way you can easily use them in multiple areas or similar like we did with the Template:S

    • Totally up to you, I'm fine with just going through files but if you feel it would improve the QoL for everyone else, then go wild!

    • I don't think it's really, needed. Also centered your class thing using a div and some margin magic.

  • I finished Berserker and Necromancer and will do Kinetic as soon as I get the screenshots from Toasty.

    • My god, you are too magic for me.

      Well, thanks for taking Necro off my hands.

      I'll get to doing more dungeon guides and what not.

  • There is no reason for there to be a separate ultimate section when Frost Shackles and Radiant Aspect are the Ultimates of their respective classes. Same goes for the Finishers, it's easier to write (Finisher) or (Ultimate) after the skills. Rather than making a new sectiong for them.

    Edit: Those are just the ones I know about, but the same goes for the rest of the classes.

    "[insert ultimate name] (Ultimate)" rather that than having a new "skill" since there is no skill in game called Ultimate or a skill called Finisher, they have different names but they Finish or they are an Ultimate skill (usually because that skill also affects Bosses otherwise it wouldn't be an Ultimate skill.

    • It's purely an aesthetic aspect the team enjoys.

      We use the term "Ultimate" because it is used by the My.com and Allods team, as well as colloquially in the game. If I am a new user to Skyforge searching for the ultimate abilities for each class, this edit makes it both visually appealing and easy to find.

    • To be honest I found it confusing that you had 2 skills that were the exact same thing only difference is that one had the actual skill name and icon and the other had a term and an icon that is the class icon of that specific class. Which is why I had made that change, aesthetics is what confuses people in the first place.

      Especially aesthetics that aren't part of the game, part of the game as in it doesn't show it as the game would. Yes that specific skill is an Ultimate not a whole new skill, so writing (Ultimate) or (Finisher) next to the name of the skill would show which skill is what.

      Edit: I am see what you tried to do, but the 2 shaded table doesn't do you much good. Thats what confused me at first, in terms of coding writing a small word after the skill would be easier than making a whole new table or if you want you can write in the tooltip that it is also know as an ultimate/finisher.

    • I've done extensive "polling" (let's call it) and no one seems to have an issue. I've brought in five brand new players (around 200 prestige in-game) and ask them about what they think about both versions. In all cases they preferred the version that is currently available as it was "cool looking" or "sticks out better".

      The staff at the Wikia here, and the My.com team also enjoy it so it will remain.

      Thank you for your concern though!

  • I asked Raylan13 to look at the Tooltips. He found we were missing a js script and it's working now. The tooltip diplays a link only on mobile which is perfectly fine. He restored your infobox but we still need to tweak it for use here. I would stick with your idea.

    Also, any major changes need to be discussed with all involved, especially me, before they happen. I left a note on the thread concerning tabs. Warframe is on our list of broken things. You might take a look at the Destiny one. Recently revamped and a majority of it works with mobile. I would much rather have a site that was easy to use, easy to access from anywhere and a lot less complicated, than a site with tons of bells and unnessessary whistles. Right now we need content and a TON OF IT. That should be the priority.

    • Yeah, I basically figured anything that isn't at least somewhat mobile friendly will have to be scrapped. Mostly, I was trying to rip their table formats, because they look really nice and are close to what I want to use to mimic Skyforge's tooltip table format. :P (I'm online now! the abyssal nap started at a bad time)

  • You have two pages that bring me to question their overall difference:

    • Stats
    • Attributes

    I believe that they should be combined, and then stats made into a redirect to Attributes.

  • Heys Xanadu,

    I noticed you and Pinkachu had done a great job by redesigning the class pages! I Wonder I you could consider using tabs instead of section for abilities and talents.

    I referring here to the Warframe Wiki (wich is in my eyes one of the best - if not THE best - organized wikia).  It brings alot more clarity, especially when you have big tables.

    Maybe worth considering ;)

    • Before either of you do anything crazy, go look at Warframe on mobile. Its seriously broken in a lot of ways. Tabs and Tabber fall apart in mobile or create pages so long, users have to scroll forever to get to anything. Sandbox your ideas but please make sure they are useable in on a smartphone. Pretty isn't always better and over half of Wikia's total views come from mobile devices. If it breaks in mobile, then I will have to revert it and that sucks for everybody.

    • @Pinkachu

      Jeah I'm well aware of that. I think thats because some of the fancy HTML5 stuff hasn't found it's way into the templates design (stretchboxes - nothing more to say)

      but I know the struggle to make a design look decent in every possible resolution / ratio so dont worry ;)

      Cheers Usche

  • I like the section template, but I changed the colors. The blend you had would be difficult for color blind users to see and read clearly.

  • Just put together a few things. Made a small credit template which is used by doing {{C}}. Simple switch method for displaying sparks.

    - Creation {{S|c}}
    - Destruction {{S|d}}
    - Balance {{S|b}}

    Not sure if this will be helpful later for you or not though.

    • I looked in other wikis, and there noone borthers about the v-align, I just mentioned it because the game itself uses baseline alignment. Just a matter of personal taste :D

    • Just added a few more to a single one to make it a tadbit easier to use again:

      - Creation {{S|c}}
      - Destruction {{S|d}}
      - Balance {{S|b}}
      - Credits {{S|cr}}
      - Texts {{S|t}}
